The Asian Dynasties Pivot Table

PivotTable

The PivotTable is generated automatically every day.

Tutorial

This tutorial is for Microsoft Excel 2003. If you have a previous (or newer) Excel version, please check your software documentation.

  • Download and unzip the Excel spreadsheet.
  • Open the spreadsheet (EsoToolsPivotTable.xls) with Microsoft Excel.

    Step 1
  • This PivotTable contains the last 65,535 rated matches (Excel 2003 doesn't allow a spreadsheet with more the 65,536 rows). These matches are stored in the Fact Table worksheet.

    Step 2
  • In the pre-configured PivotTable, you can analyze how each civilization stands up against the others one. In this example, you can see that Ottomans has won 745 matches against Aztecs and lost 581 matches against them.

    Step 3
  • You can use filters to drill down your analysis. For example, if you want to analyze only supremacy matches, select SP in the Mode filter.

    Step 4
  • The Rank Level filter is described in the Ranks worksheet.

    Step 5
  • In the bottom of the PivotTable worksheet, there is a table with the winning percentage for each civilization. The filters also work for this table.

    Step 6
  • This is just a sample. You can build your own PivotTable and analyze other dimensions.

    Step 7
